Once a bright and fertile Barony, Gelders Ford has become something of a mystery to the leaders of the other Baronies. While it is not common knowledge amongst the general public, no-one has been in or out of Gelders Ford for over forty years. Various leaders have sent forces past its borders in an attempt to learn the truth, though none have ever returned.
The seaport cities of Mireford and Dunston (the capital) still do a healthy trade with the vessels of Morton and Markay, though any discussion as to what is happening inland are immediately dismissed. Any rumours about ‘The Piper’ are stated to be nothing more than children’s bedtime stories.
